New class timetable now online
Hello again, hope you are all enjoying the lovely hot summer. Real excitement for us this year as the Tour de France went zooming past the front door, so of course, on hearing the news that it was going right through the village, I responded with a sculpture. The Peloton sits on the hedge of our front garden and is still being photographed by the many passers by who are exploring the stage 3 of the route. Later in the summer the sculpture will be on display at Hylands House during their sculpture trail.
Another busy last term’s teaching too, with more Lifesize Portraits being created and a reminder there are still a few places left for the summer 5-day Lifesize Portrait workshop which starts on Monday.
The Ceramics Part 2 evening classes created some more pottery mugs and dishes decorated using glaze mono printing and wax resist. We had some real interesting abstract work made on the Sculptural Process evening class.
The September timetable is now online and bookings are already being made. There is a new class this term – Figure Sculpting – a step-by-step course that introduces you to anatomy and proportions of the figure in 1:6 scale.
